The twofold message of the gospel is summed up in the words of Jesus to the woman caught in sin: Our first need is taken care of by the death of Christ. The second relates to the future - enablement to live a life that pleases God. The first relates to the past - the forgiveness of our sins. Teach them to obey everything that He had commanded.
